Iain Blair, President

Iain is the President and founder of Blair Financial Services and has been practicing as a financial advisor since 1991. His focus on providing independent and comprehensive advice to his clients drove the Integrated Solutions concept. Iain has continued to make learning a priority and achieved his RHU designation in 1997, CLU designation in 2007 and CEBS designation in 2014. He was born and raised in the Ottawa Valley until he moved to Waterloo to attend University. Iain holds a Bachelor of Science degree (Honours Science & Business) from the University of Waterloo. He is a resident of Waterloo, where he lives with his wife and two children.

Iain is a Registrant of Assante Financial Management Ltd., a member of the Mutual Fund Dealers Association of Canada (MFDA).

Aaron Cyr, Financial Advisor

Aaron Cyr is a financial advisor and benefits consultant at Blair Financial Services, where he provides integrated solutions in personal planning, business planning, benefits consulting and retirement solutions.  He is responsible for providing and promoting solutions that have measurable results, specifically in financial wellness, for both our individual and corporate clients, and their employees.   Aaron provides specific and customized direction to each individual or employee on what actions or applications are required, to achieve their desired outcome.   He is also responsible for creating and updating benefits plan designs to improve benefits workflows for HR teams while increasing employee engagement through unique healthcare and HR applications.

Aaron brings 14 years of business management experience to his consulting and understands many of the challenges that both employers and employees face.  Aaron was born and raised in Alberta, but moved to Ontario with his wife and two children, joining Blair Financial Services in 2010.

Keith Malkin
CHS, GBA, Vice-President Ontario & Western Canada, PPI Benefits

Keith is the Vice-President, Ontario & Western Canada in PPI’s Toronto Marketing Office where he is responsible for promoting PPI’s products, value-added services and resources. Using a team-based approach with our associates and plan sponsors, Keith provides the knowledge and expertise to promote an integrated solutions strategy to ensure that employee and executive benefits programs are designed to meet corporate philosophies, goals and objectives.

He originally trained as a nurse and received his Registered Nurse diploma in 1987. He obtained his Certified Health Specialist (CHS, formerly RHU) designation in 2005, Certificate in Global Benefits Management in 2012, Group Benefit Associate (GBA) designation in 2018 and is currently enrolled in Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) program.
Keith returned to PPI in 2008, after having worked with us between 2001 and 2002 supporting the sales of living benefits products. In the interim, Keith worked with national insurers where he specialized in promoting creative sales concepts to financial advisors and their clients. As part of PPI’s Group Benefits strategy, his responsibilities include the delivery of customized solutions that address plan designs, as well as the implementation and on-going management of benefit programs.

Jarred French, LLQP
Director, Benefits and Group Retirement Strategy

Jarred is a Director, Benefits and Group Retirement Strategy in PPI’s Calgary Sales Office where he is responsible for promoting PPI’s group benefits products, value-added consulting services and resources to PPI Associates. Jarred’s focus is on developing and maintaining strong client relationships through the delivery and implementation of benefits strategies designed to achieve the objectives of each client’s specific plan purpose.

Jarred joined PPI in 2014 with over 7 years of experience in the insurance and financial services sector with a concentration in group benefits services and sales including positions with an insurance carrier as well as insurance brokerages. Jarred’s focus on catering to the needs of our clients, both Associates and plan sponsors, through the provision of innovative concept presentations and sales ideas and his ability to deliver an exceptional customer experience will be of critical importance as PPI continues to expand the horizon on value-added service in the employee benefits marketplace.

Jarred graduated from Carleton University in 2006 with a Bachelor of Arts in Public Affairs and Management.

Eric David
Vice-President, Eastern Canada

Eric is Vice-President, Eastern Canada in PPI’s Montreal Marketing Office where he is responsible for promoting PPI’s products, value-added services and resources throughout Quebec. Using a team-based approach with our Associates and plan sponsors, Eric provides the knowledge and expertise to promote an integrated solutions strategy to ensure that employee and executive benefits programs are designed to meet corporate philosophies,goals and objectives.

Eric joined PPI in 2005 to lead the group benefits team in Montreal. Prior to joining PPI, Eric had over 18 years of experience in the group insurance industry in progressively responsible sales positions with large insurance companies where he demonstrated his skill in sales, consulting and relationship management. As part of PPI’s Group Benefits strategy, his responsibilities include the delivery of customized solutions that address plan design as well as the implementation and on-going management of benefit programs.

Eric is fluently bilingual.

Brad Carnegie
Benefits Consultant

​​Brad is a Benefits Consultant in PPI’s Kitchener Marketing Office where he is responsible for the provision and promotion of services to support the sales and servicing of PPI’s Group Benefits and GSI lines of business. Brad’s focus is on developing and maintaining strong client relationships through the delivery and implementation of strategies designed to achieve the objectives of each client’s specific plan purpose.

Brad graduated from Wilfrid Laurier University in 1992 with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics. He joined PPI in 2010 with over 10 years of ​experience in the insurance industry including consulting roles in underwriting and group benefits with large national and international financial services and human resources services organizations. Brad’s ability to deliver an exceptional customer experience will be of critical importance as PPI continues to expand the horizon on value-added service in the employee benefits marketplace.

Lana Doucette
Benefits Consultant

Lana is a Benefits Consultant in PPI’s Kitchener Marketing Office where she is responsible for the provision and promotion of services to support the sales and servicing of PPI’s Group Benefits and GSI lines of business. Lana’s focus is on developing and maintaining strong client relationships through the delivery and implementation of strategies designed to achieve the objectives of each client’s specific plan purpose.

She joined PPI in 1997 and has been an integral member of the Group Benefits Division since its inception, first working as a Technical Consultant and later being promoted to a Consultant role. Prior to joining PPI, Lana was an underwriter with one of Canada’s largest national insurance organizations. Her extensive technical background and ability to deliver an exceptional customer experience will be of critical importance as PPI continues to expand the horizon on value-added service in the employee benefits marketplace.
